Denise set up Umbrella HR to provide practical support for HR and Diversity and inclusion professionals. Having held executive roles in several sectors and with a career spanning all HR subjects, Denise knows what it takes to deliver value to business. Her strength is translating strategy into sustainable, practical actions that are embedded in business.
Her last role was CEO at the Employers Network for Equality & Inclusion (enei’s), which provided D&I support to approximately 380 private, public, and not-for-profit organisations.
Previous roles include HR & Communications Director at BGL Group (Compare the Market), Board Director (HR/IT/Communications/Clinical Governance Director) for Craegmoor Healthcare, Head of People Proposition at Marks & Spencer, and HO Corporate HR for Nationwide Building Society, where she worked on change programmes that positioned organisations as employers of choice.
