Branded by the creative industry’s The Drum magazine as “adland’s activist” Matt is a highly-awarded senior leader with over 21 years of experience in the marketing sector. He is currently the Director of Inclusion and Impact at Ogilvy UK, one of the world’s largest and most recognised creative advertising agencies, which forms part of the global WPP network. 

As well as designing and implementing internal inclusion strategies that support the agency’s creative output, he also counsels Ogilvy UK clients such as Coca-Cola, Jameson and Muller on inclusive marketing. He further supports the cause for LGBTQ+ inclusion across the UK’s marketing industry through his role as non-executive director of Outvertising, a national advocacy group that aims to ensure brands and their creative and media partners are fully LGBTQ+ inclusive in their workplaces and in their ad campaigns. 

Matt has used his public platform to raise awareness of male survivors of sexual violence and in late 2025 became a trustee of Survivors UK, a charity that provides counselling, practical help and community to male and non-binary survivors of sexual violence 

Matt has been recognised by the British Diversity Awards for being a founding member of WPP UNITE, which is the advertising industry’s largest global LGBTQ+ ERG. He is also a 2024 British LGBT Awards Top-10 Trailblazer and is a STRETCH List Awardee, which recognises ethnically diverse individuals advancing diversity, equity and inclusion in Corporate UK. Under his leadership, Ogilvy UK was highly commended by the Bank of London’s 2024 Rainbow Honours List as an organisation that works all year to influence change and proudly promote LGBTQ+ equality. 

He is currently shortlisted for the Oystercatchers 2026 Inclusive Pioneer award and the 2026 Paramount Rainbow Honours List in the Inspirational Role Model category. 

Matt is a member of the UK’s Institute of Practitioners in Advertising (IPA)Talent Leadership Group and the European Association of Communications Agencies’ (EACA) DEI Task Force
